Personally designing and handcrafting beautiful jewellery is what Shayne Rowe at Rowe Design Gold & Silversmith in Cairns Australia spends majority of his time doing. With an on-site workshop, all designs, restorations and repairs are done on the premises. When it comes to design, all customers can deal directly with Shayne to design a piece as unique as the individual themselves.
Having travelled and worked around Australia, Shayne has picked up a vast wealth of knowledge and experience from working in the trade, from high-end antique restoration and reproduction in Melbourne, to beautiful one-off commissioned pieces in Western Australia.
From his travels, Shayne has fostered a passion for incorporating all things Australian into his work, including Argyle pink diamonds and Australian sapphires in a rainbow of colours including lustrous Abrolhos Island and Broome pearls. Working for some of the most respected names in the business, for Shayne there was no greater height in his career than coming back home to Cairns to open his own business in 2004.
2019 marks for a significant year being 15 years of serving Cairns in business and Shayne’s 30th year of hand making quality jewellery. Shayne still has all his passion for his profession and makes sure every piece is made to perfection.
